Workshop #1: “Outsmart Your Sugar Habit”

Description: This workshop will explore how sugar effects your mood, attention, productivity, behaviour, and sleep. You will learn tips for navigating the sugar-laden world we live in, as well as how to gradually reduce or even eliminate sugar from your diet. We will explore naturally sweet food options, and how to deal with sugar cravings in order to improve the foods that you & your family eat as a whole.

Angela McGreevy is a Registered Holistic Nutritionist, Cook and Health Radio Host. She believes that dietary transition can serve as a gateway to personal empowerment in the face of health challenges, and indeed this is at the root of her own health journey and subsequent passion for helping others. Angela’s work is based on collaborating with clients to identify starting points for transition and to map out incremental dietary steps toward their goals. She encourages clients to enter a more informed and mature relationship with their dietary and lifestyle choices in order to experience positive health outcomes.

Lisa Tolentino is a Wellness Consultant, Facilitator and trained Functional Health Coach. She has expertise in the areas of public speaking, visioning, strategic planning and program development as well. Lisa also holds a Masters in Environmental Studies (MES), previously owned and operated an organic, whole foods café and has advanced-level yoga teacher training. She is the daughter of a medical doctor/psychotherapist & a nurse/midwife, as well as being the granddaughter of sheep and fruit farmers. Lisa employs all of this background, training, knowledge and experience in her work with both individuals and groups.
