Are you living with an advanced stage cancer diagnosis? Are you and/or your support person looking at how to make meaning and have conversations about what end of life means to you? Would you find it beneficial to be in retreat with others living a similar cancer experience? We welcome you to explore/join our Death: Charting Unknown Territory Together 3-day retreat.
This pilot retreat is meant to be a safe place to explore ideas about the end of life as it is currently presenting itself to you.
Participants can come alone or with a key support person. Our hope is that all who come are prepared to share honest conversation about cancer and life and death. Both those with cancer and support people will work in separate groups as well as together.
In addition to careful listening to each other, we’ll find our individual ways through the challenges of final stage cancers. Experiences will include: gentle and restorative yoga, expressive practices, music, delicious and nutritious food, time in nature, and facilitated and informal group conversation.
Your application automatically places you on our general waitlist. Please watch for an email (or phone call) from a staff member to follow up.
Disclaimer: No medical assessment or treatment is provided by Abbey Retreat Centre staff or volunteers during any of our retreats or programs.
