Would you like to share your talents and time to support people living with cancer?
Brooksong Retreat & Cancer Support Centre (formerly known as Abbey Retreat Centre) is always looking for new volunteers.
Our team of volunteers are an integral part of our mission to create a safe, caring and healing community for people living with cancer. They help with a variety of things: getting rooms ready for retreat, groundskeeping and gardening, assisting our retreat chef, fundraising, and so much more!
All seasons: grass cutting througout the year, flower bed maintenance, spring and fall cleanups and snow removal during the winter season.
Set up rooms: make beds, stock bathrooms, pick up flowers, laundry, and other hospitality tasks.
Indoor and outdoor maintenance: fixing, building, and small renovations.
Helping with meal preparation during retreats under the guidance of our retreat Chef.
Support the Warm Hugs From the Highlands local initiative. No quilting experience is needed.
There are so many ways you can assist the work of Brooksong Retreat & Cancer Support Centre. We will try to match your areas of interest with available volunteer opportunities.
